ARTE News - June 27th, 2011

The Percussions de Strasbourg will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Iannis Xenakis’ death, proposing a recreation of the masterpiece Pléiades by Xenakis as it was formerly planned, as a ballet. We are working on this event with l’Ensemble l’Abrupt, headed by Alban Richard.

The Percussions de Strasbourg are also preparing their 50th anniversary which will take place during 2011/2012. Many projects are getting ready for this huge event : Pléiades will be played with dancers (as it was originally performed with the Ballet du Rhin), an "opérette" is under project, directed by Ingrid Von Wantoch Rekowski, and many other creations...
