La Muraille brings these two ensembles together once again, to mark the 40th anniversary of the creation of Percussions de Treffort.
La Muraille is the co-written musical, electronic and gestural work by three musicians from Percussions de Strasbourg, dedicated to Percussions de Treffort.
The wall represents the border delimiting a space that can be considered as a hut, a planet, a country, a city… It’s a space that you walk around, but you don’t enter, nor do you look at for long. Inside, joy overflows and insouciance reigns, but when you leave, time is no longer the same, and the upheaval is as disquieting as the curiosity is intense. Les Percussions de Treffort, made up of a quartet and a trio, are the performers evolving in this ecosystem, sometimes on one side of the wall, sometimes on the other. A trio of percussion and electronics from Les Percussions de Strasbourg accompanies them on their journey back and forth. The scenic space will be considered and invested by all the moving bodies, voices and sounds of the performers.
