School Concerts
Les Percussions de Strasbourg organize performances dedicated to school groups at the Théâtre de Hautepierre. The program’s pieces are adapted and explained, with 45 minutes of concert and 15 minutes of interaction with the musicians.
In December, discover the program MINIMAL, inspired by the eponymous musical movement based on repetition, evolving patterns, and sound textures. These Strasbourg performances follow the release of the ensemble’s latest CD and will conclude the world tour of the program. The educational dossier is available for download here (+), and a podcast episode follows the creation of one of the pieces, listen here (+).
Recital for 2 vibraphones and 2 marimbas, featuring 4 works offering a perspective on musical minimalism:
Mallet Quartet, Steve Reich (2009)
Seven Eleven, Nik Bärtsch (2020)
Sunday, Shelley Washington (2022)
