2025

In 2025, the Percustra workshop presentations moved outdoors! They took place on the forecourt of the Théâtre de Hautepierre and were open to everyone. This year, the focus was on song, alongside the choirs HTP Chante and Pelicanto, for a colorful performance combining voices and percussion. On the program were 12 songs from different eras and countries, all united by their festive energy and the desire to make people dance! Designed as a moment of sharing between artists and the audience, this concert invited everyone to participate by singing along, thanks to signs displaying the lyrics!

🎙️ This year, the workshops took a special turn with an exploration of pop and traditional repertoires, with the two invited choirs joining the adventure. This unprecedented configuration challenged participants, demanded more discipline, and pushed everyone out of their comfort zone. Relive this semester of workshops with us and the 6th-grade students from Truffaut middle school through our podcast series “Percustra.” Maud de Carpentier (@maud2carpentier) and Making Waves (@makingwaves_org) joined us with their microphones in our Instrumentarium, resulting in a 3-episode podcast series available on your favorite listening platforms!

2024

In 2024, the groups performed the pieces they created together throughout the workshops held during the school year, centered around a single major work: La Muraille, alongside professional musicians from Les Percussions de Strasbourg and Percussions de Treffort, an ensemble that brings together musicians with and without disabilities. The two ensembles also worked with a group of people with disabilities who opened the performance on June 6, 2024.

2023

In 2023, the Percustra workshops explored the universe of composer Hugues Dufourt through his piece Sombre Journée, composed for Les Percussions de Strasbourg in 1979, which plays with the distorted mirroring of flows, densities, and acoustic volumes.

2022

In June 2022, the Percustra concert was part of the anniversary festival of Les Percussions de Strasbourg. To celebrate this, Szenik followed us throughout the series of events and notably interviewed our participants.
