A completely crazy musical about lotto

What could possibly drive people to flock in droves to lotto games, where they listen feverishly to litanies of numbers before shouting ‘Quine’ when their card is full?

To shed light on this unfathomable mystery, French-Finnish writer Nicole Genovese has chosen to set her new play in the basement of a village hall and entrust 13 performers with the task of playing slightly disillusioned characters from the working classes. However, despite its subject matter, there is little risk of Diskoteekki sinking into gloom, as the Percussions de Strasbourg will blow wind, breath and gusts of disco-inspired music onto the stage, and from the very first bars, the whole audience will open their arms, bend their knees and point their fingers in the air to launch into dance routines worthy of Saturday Night Fever. A neo-absurd and frankly comical choral and social fresco, bathed in a deluge of garish colours and kitsch costumes, Diskoteekki will turn its back on melancholy…

⏰ Performance at 8pm.
